that is about 1500lbs heavier than mine,  I will weigh it again as I have made some changes.  are your front springs flat,  they should have about 3 1/2 inches of arch,

if they are on the overloads at 11k,  sounds like they are flat or have been overloaded one too many times,

http://www.sdtrucksprings.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1436&zenid=d709207e401707cf53a8c5001fd2fd5e

here is the specs for the rear springs take a look at if the arch if flat or not spec you can replace them,  there are not that expensive,

Just the fronts they went flat  when i got the truck and the cummins swap didn't help them, my rears are ok,  still have good arch and sit about 1 1/2" off the overloads.

I have a rear air ride off a top kick for a winter project,  I will post some pix when I get arround to doing it.

Is that 1500lb wt difference with cummins in it are 6.5 ?  & Are you going with new springs in ft 3 leaves or add A leaf to yours ?

I weighed mine before the cummins swap and it was about 9000lbs figured the changes added about 500lbs,  I will weight it again and get front and rear weights so you have a refferance point,

when I do the front springs I am just going to replace with stock 2 leaf packs,  my truck had a 13ft box on it when I got it with a welder and compressor right behind the cab,  so the fronts were about done then, adding the cummins just finished them off..

if I need it I can always add the 3rd leaf later,  the 3 leaf packs are just the 2 leaf with a overload spring added....

Thanks again Ive only seen a few of these 4drs like 4 in person & 2 R 3 in pics 1 is yours & none with the 3 spring front   but i did notice that the 4 i seen in person front springs were flat r negative arch like mine I wonder if all the 4 drs have this problem ? due to the longer wheel base . I would like to send some pics of mine to let you see the bed springs etc but cant figure out how to on this site . Also not sure on rear springs if to go with the  5 r the 8 spring set up it is a dump bed so its not loaded all the time but when we haul asphalt it has like 2 to 5 ton in it and drives & dumps fine let me know what you think  thanks

I use photobucket,  its free and then you can put the pix anywhere,  just know what ever you put on there others can see unless you change the settings,  please post some pix would like to see your truck..

havent seen the 8 leaf packs I mispoke on that before was thinking of another truck,  mine has the 5 leaf packs.
depending on how long you are going to keep the truck you may want to find an air ride rear like is sitting in the shop here,  mine came off a 2005 topkick,  there are 2 styles the one that puts the air bag outside the frame rail works on our chassis..  I gave 800$ for mine complete with the compressor and air tank,  its a bolt in just have to run power back for the compressor..  I can post some pix of it if you want,  got it from Hannagans in Iowa (was on a road trip).. not alot of demand for them so they seem to go reasonable used..  if you find one make sure to test the compressor before you buy it they go bad..

you have seen more 4 doors than i have,  I have seen 2 others + mine,  one was a tow truck the other was a high dollar conversion with a fiberglass pickup bed,  Both had 454 and automatics..  definately a rare truck,  but I like to drive something no one else has,

I keep forgeting to go by the scale at work and weigh my truck,  I want to know what mine weighs on the front axle..  I sent you a pm with my Cell and Email give me a call sometime..
