Title: dashboard electrical problems
Post by: 454-3500-hd on October 10, 2011, 04:14:55 PM
1991 3500hd 454 auto. When I turn my running lights on, my radio and heater lights turn off, but the radio and all stay on just without lights, I have also lost my dash lights, but the turn signal blinker lights still work. Anyone have any ideas on what this could be. Thanks

The "wiggle test"  is probably the best way to start.  Turn on the dash lights and start grabbing handfulls of wire and wiggle them around. If the lights react..then narrow the wires down.  (However) From the conditions you describe...wouldn't be surprised if the light switch was bad.
